Favourites Bermuda went unbeaten through the ICC Americas T20 World Cup Sub-Regional Qualifier to seal a place in the regional finals with a match to spare, while a strong showing from the Cayman Islands saw them take the runners-up spot. Unfancied Panama clung on to claim the third qualification berth on net run rate ahead of the Bahamas and hosts Argentina, the latter falling just short in their final match against the Caymans. The three sides secure a place alongside Canada in the Americas final, to be held in Bermuda in late September, where the four teams will compete for a spot at the 2024 T20 World Cup. Originally intended to be an eight-team tournament, Suriname and Brazil both withdrew in the lead up to the competition and Belize ran into visa difficulties en-route, turned back while transiting through the USA.
